You will need:
- Marker pen
- Whitepaper
- Piece of cotton jersey fabric
- Pinking shears
- Needle and thread
- Elastic
- Scissors
- 32 cm(12 in) ric-rac braid
Steps to follow:
Step # 1
Using a template as a guide cut out the mitt shape from a piece of white paper. Draw around this 4 times on the cotton jersey fabric and cut out the pieces with pinking shears.
Step # 2
Fold over the straight edge of each mitt piece and sew it down. Sew the pieces together in pairs, right side together, leaving the straight edges open.
Step # 3
Turn the mitts right side out and sew a line of elastic about 2.5 cm (1 in) from each of the mitt openings.
Step # 4
Cut the ric-rac in 2 and sew a length around the opening edge of each mitt.
